Course description

This course is aimed at fire extinguisher technicians who would like to be refreshed on the practical side of recharging water and foam fire extinguishers, or for the technician who has not had the chance to carry out this function since attending the initial full course.

The course will cover the requirements of BS5306-3 re extended servicing and the requirements of BS5306-9: refills and recharges.

At this stage we are not able to include the practical recharging of powder extinguishers but the theoretical process and issues will be covered.

The course can be run at your premises for a minimum cost of 5 candidates.

• Fire maintenance technicians
• Owners and/or managers of fire protection companies.

Pre-course requirements:

• Delegates will be expected to be a fire extinguisher technician or someone who can work safely with a pressurised vessel.
